This Is A Love Story Book Review

At the end of last year I bought six books for £10 in The Works and this was one of them. I first picked it up in the shop because it has a pretty front cover, but I then read the blurb and was intrigued.

It follows the story of Sienna and Nick and their love story. From meeting on the train, to working together and then friendship.

This was the last book out of the six that I read and I am glad I left it till last as it took me a while to read it. The chapters are really long, between 20 and 40 pages, so I couldn't read it for a long period of time.
However,I loved the book, even though it made me cry at parts. But I did find that I was easily predicting the ending to a certain degree. With this being said, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and enjoyed each and every character in it.

Ballerina Nails

I bought this Barry M nail polish in the shade Ballerina at the end of last year and was desperate to wear it ever since, but I didn't think it would be very wintery as it is a pastel pink. So, as soon as a glimpse of Spring came through, I whacked it on my nails.

I found that it applied evenly and smoothly and that it dried quick, around 3 minutes. However, after around four days it started to chip.

It is a beautiful pale pink which looks very feminine and delicate on the nails. No wonder it is called Ballerina. If you don't like wearing super bright and out there colours, Ballerina is a perfect colour for you. Also, you can really jazz it up by adding a glitter top coat or an accent colour.

Have you tried this nail polish?

Candle Corner #20 - Yankee Candle Christmas Cookie

For my birthday one of my friends bought me a Yankee Candle in the scent Christmas Cookie and I absolutely love it!
It smells like sugar cookies and vanilla which makes a perfect subtle scent. I have found that it is quite similar to Yankee Candle's Snowflake Cookie, the only difference being is that this isn't as sweet.

I think I like this scent so much because it smells of baking and is different to most scents.

A Passionate Love Affair With A Total Stranger Book Review

Since the start of the year, I have read three books and am on my fourth, so it is clear to say that I am a little addicted to reading. Because reading is something I enjoy, I thought I would share a review of the book I have currently ready, a passionate love affair with a total stranger by Lucy Robinson.

I didn’t really know what to expect from the book because I had never seen anyone talk about it, had never heard of the author before and had never read a review on it. However, I was really intrigued to read it as it is one of my favourite book genres and the blurb made the book sound really interesting.

Throughout the book there was something going off, so I never felt uninterested or bored with reading it. The whole story line was great and slightly different to the typical romantic comedy book and was quite unpredictable. The last third of the book is quite dramatic and has something different happening in ever chapter. The relationship between the female protagonist and one of the male characters reminded me of the Bridget Jones’ Diary relationship between Bridget Jones and Daniel Cleaver. I really enjoyed reading this book and happily sat for most of my day off reading it chapter after chapter. I got that into the book I took me two and a half days to read it.

What is your favourite book genre?

Mallorca Photo Diary

I know I usually post on Fridays, however I wanted to do a bonus post for this week and I have also wanted to share this post ever since I created it.

During the first week of the Easter half-term my two sisters, mum, nan and I went to Mallorca for four days. Throughout the holiday we ventured to the beach in Magaluf and the beach in Torrenova as well as Marineland and I took a whole bunch of photos. Since I took so many photos, I thought I would do a photo diary to share them with you.
