What I Got For MY 18th Birthday!

On 20th November, a week ago, I turned 18 and so I thought it was appropriate that I share what I got for my birthday.

First of all, my two sisters bought me a sparkly wine glass which is too pretty for me to use, and the fairytale book pandora charm, which I have wanted for ages! My mum and her partner also bought me a pandora charm, the heart, which is so pretty. Also, my dad got me the pandora tiara ring and I bought myself the pandora flower ring.

Two of my friends, Abbie and Ashleigh, bought me The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee and Fates And Furies by Lauren Groff. My friend Kirsty bought me a ton of Lush things and one of my favourite chocolate bars. All the Lush products smell amazing.... Snow Fairy *heart eyes*! Another friend, Liam,  bought me a Yankee Candle in one of my favourite scents and it smells divine!

Finally, my closest friend, Lauren, bought me two books, This Savage Song by V.E. Schwab and Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn and the Stardust bath bomb from Lush. She also made me a scrap book of photos of me and her throughout the 13 years we have been friends.

Fangirl Book Review

I had never heard of Rainbow Rowell before this year and I don't understand how. This year I have become addicted to BookTubers, and spend too much time watching book related videos, and every single person's videos I watched they raved about this book. Since it is a contemporary, I knew I would be interested in it, so I looked it up on Amazon and bought it.

The book follows the first year of college life of Cath, who until now was attached to her twin and spent her time writing fan-fiction. Now at college, she has to deal with life on her own and make her own friends.

It took me a while to get around to reading it, but I am glad that I finally did and wish I had read it sooner. I absolutely loved this book and didn't want it to end. I immediately fell in love with the main character, Cath, and found her very similar to myself. I also loved the relationship between Cath and Levi.

Also, for me the book was quite unpredictable and throghout the whole book I was thinking "Oh no!" "OMG!" or "Yay!"

I would definitely say this is one of my favourite reads of the year.

RSVP Book Review

I'm not going to lie, I originally picked this up because of the pretty cover, but it was when I read the blurb that I was sold. The book is told from four women's perspectives who's lives all intertwine.

I have never heard of Helen Warner before, so I was a little skeptical as to how much I would enjoy the book. However, I really enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down. I especially liked how it was told from four different perspectives and that all their lives intertwined. Also, I loved all the characters and wish it didn't end where it did. However, it was predictable at times.

Have you read this?

Sticking to what I enjoy...

I really love reading and books. And because I am feeling so uninspired about creating content, I thought I would stick to what I love and just write book themed posts....

They will probably be mostly book reviews because I love sharing my opinion on books, but I will occasionally do other book related posts. They also might not be regular and up every week, it just depends on how I am feeling and whether I want to post or not.

Just because I am saying that the new content is going to be on book, doesn't mean that it will stay like that. I may decide to write something totally random and un-book related. However, for now this is how I am feeling.
